CM epic ride 09

congrats to my colleagues of Life Cycle for completing the 55kms loop during last Sunday's epic ride. Kudos to Cyclemotion JB and the gang for their effort and dedication towards making this event a success.

Angah got the top 100 finishing, a medal (to commemorate top finishers?) and a 25% voucher on Merida bikes at De Yuan. Badak was double lucky, a saddle and a blinking helmet brought home. Wan's lucky chain tool is now in his collection of tools and Tepeng, well, what did this little guy brought home? A bunch of awek's phone nos maybe. Hehe. No offend Peng, I dont have any idea what did you get for the lucky draw.

Me? Duh..I committed my time that day to attend Aishah's Graduation (Kindergarten sort of 'concert') and the event turned out to be lame (with the exception of those kindergarten kids performing). Many happy faces. My advice to Mr Principal a.k.a Mr Founder: Jangan la kedekut sgt dengan duit hangpa tu. Kami parents ni bayar la, bukan free tau. Dan jgn la buat muka 'ketat' depan parents, kamu bagaikan samseng lagaknya.

ride 111109 - malam

25kms, 1hr15mins, 4 riders, 54kmh max. road
bestari-p.wangsa-p.indah-d.tebrau-tiram

ni semua gara2 epic ride. aku cuma support kengkawan yang nak pergi minggu ni.

yang best nya, bila badak lead on road, aku memanjang jadi sweeper je la. ada certain point sampai 1kms++ jarak leader dgn sweeper, padahal ada 4 org riders aje. huhu

tapi org tua ni masih boleh catch-up. hehe

tambah lagi dengan reward burger ayam sab's dan neslo kurang manis. pergh! lewat malam baru boleh tido. lena..

ride 081109 - bestari-setia indah-ulu tebrau

35kms, 4hours, 8 riders. many new section

starts at 0830. trailhead is next to stesen timbang bestari. riders yg dah lama tak kayuh pun ada. hehe..awas korang semua. hari ini kamu menerima siksa dunia.

discover new singletrack aka downhill rock garden. tak pandai nego tayar bocor le jawabnya. bump into a group of riders from setia indah doing counterflow (or is it us?). it seems that the meeting point with setia indah riders had always been at the same place although we going on a different route.

blood,sweat,cramps, hunger, exhaustion, disgust, sunburn - its the torture package you were asking for. so why complain?

the most gruelling ascent would still be felda tebrau, plus a reward of going downhill of up to 45kmh max (or more if you dare).

the best part is cooling down at EPA's swimming pool on the way back to RV point.

still, no route tagging, all inside our head.

spoilt for choices

you gotta choose when you gotta decide. and life is so full of choices. what will it be? blue or red? light or heavy? less or more?

i reckon that i will, for the time being, follow as what adeng's tag is, less is more.

i gotta decide.

ride 011109 - orientasi sabri masoud

aku, wan, badak and sab, the newbie.

sab baru beli alite 500 dari halim yang nak upgrade ke lucky seven. so, today is sab's maiden ride.

route: bestari indah - setia indah - batu gajah - home
distance: 35.96kms
time: 0830-1330hrs
verdict: recce ride to some parts of setia indah's single track up to a point where we can see senai's industrial area from afar. then back to bukit, rescued (towed)by hafiz and hass by bike due to overheating experienced by riders. no tagging of routes. pakai ingat2 aje. gps dalam kepala. boleh?

post raya rides

ramai diantara geng kayuh di kampung aku dah mulai sejuk. ada yang dah mencapai tahap beku. hanya sesuai untuk sesi fotografi sahaja.

antara ride yang aku dah pegi setiap weekend post raya ialah;

1. K16 (home trail) - ride pemecah lemak tepu;
2. sg S (or Ass?) - ride mandi-manda putera2 kayangan, tempat yang creepy tapi cantik yang amat.
3. ride bestari-setia indah a.k.a lorong babi (lorong babi is the trailhead to these areas)

participants? balik2 muka yang sama. kalau sebelum ramadan hingga 15 org per ride, sekarang ada 4 atau lima orang. yang lain? hanya sesuai untuk sesi fotografi sahaja...duh.

kalau macam ini la gayanya, terpaksa la aku balik asal.. ride dgn geng2 yg dah established kat JB ni. huhu..

angah, badak, wan, effi.. korang memang best. tak lekang dek panas, tak basah dek hujan. stay true bros! tidak lupa juga pada ubit piranha yang "gua, anytime boleh!"

dah lama

dah lama tak update blog ni. busy bebenor dgn assignment baru selepas raya. bulan syawal dah berlalu dan akan datang lagi. pitch aku untuk projek mega kayangan dah pun halfway through. aku berdoa semoga aku akan hit closing yang aku inginkan demi untuk keluarga dan menebus diri aku sendiri. salam sejahtera untuk kamu juga wahai sahabat. perjuangan kita masih jauh di hadapan.
